The Royal Newfoundland Regiment is currently hiring for a variety of positions within 1st and 2nd Battalions.

TRAINING

TRAINING

The Royal Newfoundland Regiment training schedule consists of:

-Thursday evening training from 19h to 22h (7pm to 10pm)

-At least one weekend a month 

-Two cumulative exercises per year (One arctic, one summer, between 4-6 days each)

As well as further employment opportunities, such as full-time summer employment from May to September, and in-house full-time positions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How old do I need to be to join?

You need to be between the ages of 16 (with parental consent) and 57 years old.

Can I have a full-time job while in the Regiment?

Yes. Most, if not all of our members hold full-time civilian positions, ranging from police officers to students to lawyers.

Will I be deployed overseas?

Deployments, whether international or domestic (such as Op Lentus disaster relief ) are completely voluntary. You choose if you want to do it. You will never be forced to go anywhere.

Can I do this while in school?

Yes. Many of our members are completing undergraduate or college degrees while in the regiment. The Canadian Armed Forces also offers a tuition reimbursement program 

What are the requirements to join?

To join the Regiment yo will need to go through the following:

-Application process, including background check

-Fitness test (called FORCE test)

-Medical test
