Mandate and Goals

The purpose of the Regimental Advisory Committee (RAC) is to support  the Royal Newfoundland Regiment within the community upon which it is founded, and to foster a general public awareness of the Regiment and commemoration of its history and heritage. The RAC strives to  foster the pride of the community in the history of its Regiment.

The Council is a volunteer non-profit organization consisting of current and retired  members of the Regiment, as well as interested citizens of the community.

The Regimental Advisory Council serves as an  interface between the Regiment and the community of Newfoundland and Labrador, and is independent of military command constraints. When possible, it can provide community, historical  and cultural perspective to the military establishment beyond the Regiment in order to enhance the role of the Regiment as a valued member of its community.
